Bang-On Collective

BANG-ON is a collective of arts professionals and interdisciplinary artists, working across diverse contexts of arts and cultural production. Steeped within Indigenous ways of being, philosophy of generosity and practice centred approach, we support projects that centre the experiences and care of artists, creative communities, audiences and participants. We work in a generative manner, creating space for reciprocal cross-sector and community collaborations, and propose new ways of looking at the world through community and artist led projects.

BANG-ON supports the development and delivery of artist projects that do not follow conventional modes of presentation, particularly works that are activated by rigorous cultural protocols and ceremony and grounded in experimentation and interdisciplinary collaborations. We build projects around cultural specificity, implementing processes that best serve the artist and their community.

We work collectively to:

• Support and deliver new works for international programs, working with major institutions and their collections on acquisitions and new commissions.

• Deliver international projects that connect artists and communities through a longitudinal approach to exchange and collaboration.

• Develop and deliver public art commissions.

• Develop and deliver International exhibitions.

• Develop and deliver performance projects with diverse public outcomes – including site-specific projects.

• Provide arts and cultural consultancy across multiple contexts of engagement.
